Interex International inc., was founded by Marcos Hume in Philadelphia, PA in 1987, to export material handling equipment to Latin American countries.
Interex-Chile was founded in 1991 in Santiago, Chile, to be dealer of several Material handling equipment manufacturers, mainly from USA, such as Jeamar winches, Shaw box hoists and overhead cranes, Gerlinger stradle carriers, Big Joe electric stackers, Raymond electric stackers and many others. We were the first to import a JLG scissor lifts in Chile.

We have sold many equipment to the main industrial, ports, mining, fruit export and logistics companies in Chile trough the years, been one of our main accomplishments the manufacture of nine 10 tons heavy duty overhead cranes for Codelco Chuquicamata (US$ 2.0 million): Two overhead cranes for CAP, Chilean steel company (US$ 800.000): Two Broderson cranes for Codelco-Teniente ($ 350.000): Four Gerlinger stradle carriers to Codelco copper mine (US$ 1.6 million), the first 11 meters cold storage Raymond trucks for Savory-Nestle in Chile. Plus hundreds of forklift trucks, hoists, cranes, pallet trucks, generators, etc. to many Chilean, Peruvian and Argentinean customers.
In 2010 we start a scissor lifts rental business, having more than 80 units in our fleet and looking to grow to over 100 in the next ten months.
